Waitakere Wildlink
This community project aims to provide a protected wildlife corridor between Te Henga and Muriwai. This encompasses both the coastline of the Te Henga walkway and inland blocks of native bush. By connecting to the established North-West Wildlink we will provide our native birds a pathway to repopulate Goldie Bush and beyond to the Kaipara. As the majority of our native birds will only fly 2.5km or less between habitats it is critical we give them a safe haven on their journey north.
